Track 4 - "Comments"

This year I periodically wrote new pieces for my blog. But the last week of blogging I spent reading around the world wide web in search of new material and new inspiration.

Here is a link to my "Comment Blog"

The week full of "Comment Blogging" satisfied each of the following National Educational Technology Standards:

Students develop cultural understanding and global awareness by engaging with learners of other cultures.  (S.2) I read the blogs of people all over the globe in my search for "good reads" to comment on. In doing so I was exposed to several different perspectives and views on varying subjects.Students advocate and practice safe, legal, and responsible use of information and technology.  (S.4) During the course of my "Comment Blogging," safety and legality were highest priorities.Students exhibit leadership for digital citizenship. (S.5) Interacting with people of different regions and cultures than me is the first step in being a good digital citizen.Students understand and use technology systems. (S.6) Navigating through the wilderness of the world wide web can be tricky business. Knowledge of how computers and the internet operates is critical to the successful "Surfer."
